Description

This is a Hopi Corn Maiden Kachina. Her presence in the kachina dances is a prayer for corn. She also honors Mother Earth and her continuing ability to feed her children. Based on this corn maiden’s yellow corn cob body, she is known as a Yellow Corn Maiden. The doll also has a wooden feather headdress and peacock feather in a sash.
